Dear Prospective Delaware Teacher:
The Delaware State Department of Education Office of Professional Accountability has mandated that all Bilingual and ESOL applicants take the ACTFL® OPI® and ACTFL WPT as a part of your application for teacher certification. (Praxis II can no longer be used as a substitute for Bilingual/ESOL applicants taking the test in Spanish or French.) World Language Spanish, French or German applicants are required to take Praxis II in Spanish, French or German (effective 9/1/10). For the most current information on test requirements for the specific teaching certificate you are seeking, please visit the State Department of Education’s website at https://deeds.doe.k12.de.us or call 302-735-4120.
